Her research was focused on desing and development of new mesoporous silica nanoparticles for drug delivery. All these New Emissive Nano and Molecular Devices are integrated into Proteomics plattforms such as MALDI-TOF-MS and ESI MS-MS as new chelating matrices for biomedical analysis.
E.Oliveira was achieved with the Portuguese Prize from “Fundaçao Calouste Gulbenkian, Portugal in Creativity and Quality in the Research Activity 2008. Her PhD was supervised by Dr. Carlos Lodeiro (University of Vigo, Spain); Dr. Susana S. Costa (University of Minho, Portugal); Prof. Isabel Moura (University NOVA of Lisbon, Portugal).

In 2015 Dr. Oliveira was awarded with the Woman Medal Loreal UNESCO in Portugal. Her postdoc period between 2011-2018 was done in The University NOVA of Lisbon (Portugal), The University of Vigo (Spain), the University Autonomous of Barcelona

E. Oliveira is actually an Assistant researcher in the  Department of Chemistry, Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia, LAQV-REQUIMTE - Universidade Nova de Lisboa (FCT-UNL), Monte de Caparica, Portugal and Responsible for the Laboratory for Mesoporous Silica Nanoparticles preparation, Imaging and Drug Delivery located at Lab 308.
